Reservation Policy:

All reservations will be held by credit card.  The first night of your reservation will be charged to the card you supply.  The balance due will be payable upon your arrival, credit card or cash only.  A confirmation letter will be sent to you with your confirmation number.  

We accept Discover, MasterCard, Visa or American Express.  We are sorry we no longer accept personal checks upon arrival for your stay.  If you with to pay by personal or business check we must receive the check 21 days prior to your arrival for the full amount of your stay.

Group Rentals: If you reserve more than 1 room we require a 50% deposit at the time of reservation. 

Special Notice:

Reservations for:

• The Aspen Cash Motorcycle Rally 5/20/10 - 5/22/10 and
•  Golden Aspen Motor Cycle Rally 9/16/09 - 9/18/10

The first night must be paid at the time you place your reservation.  The remainder of your reservation will be due upon your arrival.

Reservations for:

• The Christmas Holiday 12/19/10 - 1/1/11

The first night must be paid at the time you make the reservation and the balance must be paid in full by 12/1/2010.

Reservations for the Christmas Holiday will be held for you.  We will send you an Email or Fax for you to authorize your purchase.  After we send you the Email or Fax you will have 24 hours to return the Email or Fax.  Your reservation will be cancelled if the authorization is not returned by you in 24 hours.

Rates are subject to change until reservations are confirmed.

• 9/16/10 - 9/18/10 The Golden Aspen Motor Cycle Rally
• 12/19/10 - 1/1/11 Christmas Holiday

     Reservations for these dates are not refundable.

All Cancellations will be charged a $25 administrative fee plus tax.  To avoid additional fees you must:

• Cancel 30 days in advance of any Holiday or Special Event Weekend
• Cancel 21 days in advance of all other stays

Group cancellations will be charged a $25 administrative fee plus tax.  To avoid additional fees you must:

• Cancel 45 days in advance of any Holiday or Specialty Event Weekend
• Cancel 30 days in advance of all other stays

Otherwise you will be charged a minimum of one nights lodging (Group rentals the 50% deposit) plus tax and you are subject to all nights the room or rooms that you reserved are not re-rented.

A cancellation number will be issued and a cancellation letter will be sent.

Our rooms accommodate only two (2) people.  If you arrive at the lodge with additional guests will need to purchase an additional room or rooms.  Guests who choose upon arrival not to use their reservation because their group can not be accommodated will be charged the full amount of their reservation.

No Shows:

Guests who do not arrive to use their reservations will be charged for their full reservation.

Children:

The Black Bear Lodge is a Bed and Breakfast retreat designed for single adults or couples.  Children under 16 (sixteen) are not accepted.  

Please Note:

• Check-in time is 3 PM.  Early check in may be possible after 2 PM if the room is available.  We do not allow guests to check in before 2 PM
• Check-out time is 11 AM.  There are no late checkouts.
• Our lodge is designed for single adults or couples.
• Children under 16 are not accepted. 
• Our rooms accommodate no more than two (2) people.  A third person requires a separate room.  No Exceptions.
• Black Bear Lodge is a Non-Smoking facility.
• No pets are allowed.
